2.Adhesive Retention

The backing plate (and the steel mesh) is coated with thermosetting phenolic  adhesive.

 This delivers the standard industry strong resistant to thermal stress.

3.Formulated Retention

The best compound for brake performance may not be the best for bonding.

In order to ensure a perfect bond we insert an “interlayer” of material.

Pecifically formulated for bonding between the backing plate and he main friction block.during molding and curing this interlayer flows andfuses organically into the main friction block,adhering perfectly to the backing plate and steel mesh.
