In the modern world, antique wood flooring is highly in demand. Antique wood flooring has a certain exotic appeal. Antique wood flooring is better than newly milled wood in appearance and engineering properties. There are two sources for antique wood. They are from used beams from demolished buildings and barns and from recovered sinker wood. Antique wood flooring is also obtained from old buildings like factories, cotton mills and warehouses.

Antique wood flooring is installed the same way as any hardwood flooring. Antique flooring is accessible in rustic and distressed grades.
