A: Yes, it will. But it only aims at releasing the heat energy, not used in direct heating. Thus, less electricity cost.

Q: Why will it be more efficient to absorb the heat from the air?

A: It just only needs a little heat to run the pump, and then deliver 4 times heat from the air, using the heat to heat the water, finally make the efficiency up to 450%. E.g.: using 1 kw electricity to heat the pump, receiving 4.5 kw heat energy to heat the water.
