Those RGB strip is made of flexible PCB material ,and comes with a weaterproof sheathing .You can cut this stuff pretty easily with wrie cutters ,there are cut-line every 1.6"/41mm (2LEDS each ).Solder to the 0.1" copper pads and you're good to go .Of course ,you can also connect strips togther to make them longer ,just see how muct current you need .
1)48pcs RGB leds/m ,every 2 SMD5050 LEDS are controlled by one LPD8806 IC chip indvidually.
2)Each LED is addressable ,can be setted different color at the same tim
3)you can design many different lighting effects and animations you want with it ,
4)compatible with DMX ,Artnet and SD card controller
5)each two leds can be cutted ,meet differn length
The advantage of digital strip 48 RGB leds per meter ,and you can control each LED individually ! .This is the digitally-addressable type of led led strip .You can set the color of each LED's red ,green ,and bule componet with 7-bit PWM precision ( so 21-bit color per pixel) The Leds are once controlled by shift-registers that are chained up down the strip so you can shorten or lengthen the strip. Only 2 digital output pins are required to send data down. The PWM is built into each chip so once you set the color you can stop talking to the strip and it will continue to PWM all the LEDs for you.
