Achromatic doublet lenses are composed of Low refractive index (crown glass) positive lens and
high refractive index (flint glass) negative lens. After the computer optimization design, made good
correction for the spherical aberration, Comatic Aberration and color difference and paraxial
aberration.
When used to focus and collimation, plano-convex lens or the surface of small radius of curvature usually toward the collimation light.
When used to imaging, plano-convex lens must be toward to the longer side of object distance or image distance .
Big aperture of achromatic lens is double separation achromatic type lens.
