Embedded Type Electrode Salt Bath Furnace
General introduction: The embedded type electrode salt bath furnace is a cycle-based furnace mainly applicable to quenching, annealing, tempering, normalizing, and non oxidation of mechanical parts in salt liquid. The furnace is divided into three types based on temperature, i.e, low temperature, medium temperature, and high temperature. Their working temperature is 150-550 degree celcius, 550-1000 degree celcius, and 1000-1350 degree celcius.
Structure: DM type 3-phase embedded electrode salt furnace is of a rectangular shape. The furnace shell is made from angle steel and steel plates. The furnace also has a furnace liner to be placed inside the furnace shell. The liner is mainly used to prevent liquid leakage and for easy maintenance. Between the liner and the shell is filled with heat preservation material and heat preservation powder. The electrodes are embedded at the bottom of the liner, with one face contacting the liquid and the rest buried in the refractory bricks. The electrodes are 50mm away from the bottom. Each electrode is connected with a copper board which goes through the liner roof, and forms a loop with the transformer.
The part of the electrode outside the liner is protected with a water-cooling jacket. Because the salt isn’t conductive before melting, the furnace uses a start-up electrode to melt the salt, and generate heat when electricity conducting in the salt liquid. Due to the electromagnetic force, the molten salt is circulated with natural convection and electromagnetic stirring, and therefore, the workpieces are heated evenly. The furnace is also equipped with a gas discharge hood at its side to remove the harmful gases out of the furnace.

The temperature can be recorded, and auto-regulated.
