Installation
1. Mount the light fixture in your desired location (mounting hardware not included) using the metal bracket with holes in it as the support bracket. This bracket can be used as a stand and put directly on the ground or bolted through the holes to your house or post. Adjust tilt and tighten bolts on the fixture where the bracket meets it.
2. Find suitable area to place solar panel in full sunlight without shadows crossing the panel within the wire length from the panel to the fixture. Mounting bracket is recommended to be used to adjust its direction to sunlight. It is recommended to place the panel at a suitable degree angle towards the south for maximum exposure. Note: Be sure to not drill through the glass that recedes into the framing of the panel.
3. Plug in the male connector on the wire from the panel to the corresponding female located next to the switch on the fixture.
Operation
1. Be sure fixture switch is in the “ON” position, indicated by a Straight line (I), and charge for at least 8 hrs in full sun exposure.
It can be charged no matter the fixture switch is in ON or OFF position.
2. Only when it is dark you can turn ON/OFF the light by pushing the bigger/smaller red button of the controller. Each time the light can turn ON for ten minutes and OFF automatically.
Battery Changing
The LEAD-ACID battery included with this product is rechargeable. Like all rechargeable batteries, however, they will eventually need to be replaced. If the light should begin to illuminate dimly or for shorter durations of time, you should replace the rechargeable batteries in the following way.
1. Take a screw driver to unscrew the screw that hold the glass onto the light fixture.
2. Take off glass gently and softly to avoid damaging the sealing 8.
3. Unscrew four screws and remove the LED board 1.
4. Unscrew the two screws 5 and remove the strap 3 that holds the battery down.
5. Pull out the wires connecting to electronic unit 4 from positive and negative terminals 7 of the battery 6.
6. Take off the old battery.
7. Replace new battery of same kind and capacity.
8. Screw the strap back down with screw.
9. Connect the two wires to the Red terminal and the Negative terminal of the battery. Be sure connecting to polarities are correct.
10. Then install glass cover on tightly.
