Triplex Secondary Urd, Urd Cable, 600 V, Al/XLPE (ANSI/ICEA S-105-692)
TRIPLEX 6OOV SECONDARY URD
INSULATION: CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE XLP
CONDUCTORS: ALUMINUM
APPLICATION:
Used for secondary distribution and underground service at 600 volts or less, either direct burial or in ducts, in areas with soft soils where rodents are not present.
CONSTRUCTION:
Secondary power distribution up to 600V in areas with soft soils where rodents are not present.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Conductors are stranded, compressed 1350-H16/H26 aluminum insulated with vulcanized interlinked polyethylene. Neutrals are triple yellow extruded stripe. Neutrals have sequential footage markers. Conductors are durably surface printed for identification. Two phase conductors and one neutral or three phase conductors are cabled together to produce the triplex configuration.
Triplex or paralleled 600 volt secondary UD cable meets or exceeds the following applicable ASTM specifications.
B-231 Aluminum 1350 Conductors. Concentric-Lay-Stranded
B-609 Aluminum 1350 Round Wire. Annealed and Intermediate Tempers, for Electrical Purposes.
B-786 19 Wire Combination Unilay-Stranded Aluminum Conductors for Subsequent Insulation.
Triplex 600 volt secondary UD cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ICEA S-105-692
for cross-linked polyethylene insulated conductors and UL Standard 854 for Type USE-2.
