ASTM 434/JIS SUS 434 ferritic stainless steel. Chromium containing 12% ~ 30%. Its corrosion resistance, toughness and weldability with containing Cr increases with the increasing of quantity, resistance to chloride stress corrosion is superior to other types of stainless steel. 434 (18Cr-1Mo) is improved steel 430 steel, resistant to salt is superior to 430 steel, used in car decoration materials. The corresponding national standard 1Cr17Mo, Japanese standard SUS434.
