ASTM 1050BTS14B50

This steel is 50 steel has higher hardenability, in water critical hardenable diameter of 21 ~ 37mm, the critical quenching oil through the diameter of 9 ~ 20mm. This steel in normalizing hardness is low, processing high roughness; but with a higher heating temperature, method of cold air by normalizing with spread out, can obtain uniform fine pearlite - ferrite structure, so as to obtain satisfactory machinability. This kind of steel is generally used in the quenched and tempered, the comprehensive mechanical properties than the 50 steel. Mainly used to replace 50 steel production requirements high hardenability parts.
