OPERATION
The SK902 uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy, any movement by a person will cause the detector to register that movement and energise the lighting. After the primary detector PIR engages then the sound detection system comes into operation to keep the status of the detector as “Occupied” even though there is no detectable movement. The lights will remain ON as long as there is a noise or an occupant moving through the sensor zones.
A OFF delay time adjustment prevents the lights from switching OFF when the space is occupied. In order to keep the lights ON, noise must be generated, either from talking or any other activity, at least once during the selected OFF delay time interval. An LED indicator blinks to denote activity is sensed in the sensor zones. When the space being monitored by the sensor is unoccupied for the length of time chosen as the OFF delay interval, the unit will switch the lights OFF.
