JACQUARD KITCHEN TOWEL

A jacquard pattern is actually woven into the body of a towel on a special jacquard loom. A jacquard design appears on the back of the towel as well as the face. A print does not.

Jacquard weaves are used to make fabrics with intricate allover patterns such as brocades, tapestries, and damasks. They are woven on a looms with special jacquard attachments to control the individual warps. Fabrics of this type are costly because of the time and skill involved in making the jacquard patterns, preparing the looms to produce a new patterns, and the slowness of the weaving process.
