How to Clean a Body Bath Brush?

A body bath brush is sometimes more useful than a simple washcloth because the brush exfoliates the body, thereby removing dead skin cells.

These brushes typically have a handle that allows users to reach tough areas such as the back with ease, where hands often can't reach without a struggle. Since the brushes are constantly in contact with moisture, dirt and body oils, it is important to clean the body bath brush regularly.


Things You'll Need

    Vinegar

    Water

    Hair shampoo

    Large bowl

Instructions

        1 Mix equal parts of hot water and vinegar in a large bowl to create the cleaning liquid. Fill the bowl with enough    

           liquid to submerge the body brush entirely.

        2 Add 1 tsp. of hair shampoo to break up any body oils that have collected in the brush.

        3 Place the body brush into the liquid, and let it soak overnight. Hold the brush under the fluid until it has fully saturated and sunk to
          the bottom of the bowl; otherwise the brush may float atop the solution.

        4 Rinse the brush thoroughly with hot water the following day.

        5 Repeat this cleaning routine every 1 to 2 months or as needed as dirt and oils accumulate.
