INTRODUCTION

Most of ferroalloy products can be used as inoculant, such as silicon calcium, ferro silicon, silicon manganese , silicon barium etc. Inculant can promote the graphitization and improve the quality of iron, especially , it can increase the toughness and hardness of steel. Inoculant is mainly used in the foundry industry. The method of using inoculants is putting the inoculants into the liquid iron. Inoculants is widely used in the casting iron. However, most of inoculants can also be used as deoxidizer in the steelmaking.
