Advantages

This pump can withstand higher pressure.The discharge pressure is just born by the barrel and casing cover.Sectionalring casings just bear pressure differentials and the leaking between segments is avoided.There are gaskets between the barrel and the casing cover. 

The pump won’t be influenced by heat shock and deformation. Inner casing is surrounded by pumped liquid and bear the same heat with rotors parts.For some high temperature operating conditions,the pump can be started up without preheating. 

The pump is safer and more reliable.When transporting dangerous liquids,the possibility of leakage is minimized because of the barrel.
