Structure rubber bearing is researched and developed after the concept of foundation antivibration, as the device of shock absorption and isolation. It is composed of hard sheet steel and soft rubber sheet by moulding curing.
Rubber layer and sandwich clad steel are compacted and agglutinated. When the upper structure of the rubber bearings to withstand weight and other loads, the rubber sheet ends the lateral stretch of the rubber, increasing the vertical stiffness. The soft rubber layer has a sufficient level mobility to extend natural vibration period of the buildings. In addition, lead-rubber bearings into the middle bar can increase the damping ratio. This kind of rubber bearing, integrating support, damping, horizontal displacement and elastic reset function, is the most widely used building component isolation. There are two types of Isolation rubber bearings, round and square. Round is the main one, which can be divided into lead-rubber bearings (LRB), natural rubber bearings (LNR) and high damping rubber bearings (HDR) of three types.
