E-glass Chopped Strand Mat

E-glass chopped strand mat are an unwoven fabric consisting of randomly distributed chopped strands held together with Powder or Emulsion binder.

Compatible Resins and Applications

Powder/Emulsion chopped strand mat are compatible with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins.

The products are most widely used in hand lay-up process and can also be used in filament winding, compression molding and continuous laminating processes. The typical end-use applications include various panels, boats, bathroom, automotive parts and cooling towers.

Packaging & Storage

Each chopped strand mat is wound onto a paper tube which has an inside diameter of 79mm, 90mm or 106mm, the diameter of each roll is 265mm, and then wrapped up with plastic film, and then be packed in a cardboard box or wrapped up with kraft paper. The rolls can be vertically or horizontally placed. The rolls can be loaded into a container directly or on pallets.

Unless otherwise specified, E-glass chopped strand mat should be stored in a dry, cool and rain-proof area. It is recommended that the temperature and humidity should be always maintained at 15℃-35℃ and 35℃-65℃ respectively. To ensure safety and avoid damage to the product, the pallets should not be stacked more than two layers. Any package with out pallet should not be stacked horizontally more than four layers.
