In a home, the donor unit is generally deployed outside – for example, under the eaves. Because it is more sensitive than your phone and is mounted higher up, it can usually detect signals that your phone can't. The coverage range of 15,000 to 50,000 square feet (2,000 to 4,600 square metres) is adequate for most homes.

Q2. When I'm at the cottage, I'd like to stay in touch, but if I publish my cottage number, everyone will call. I'd like to just use my cell phone. Can you help?
