Company Profile
PSC Motor and Fan is an American company specialized in Thermal Solution since 1993, and its main products are DC/AC/ECAC Backward Curved Impeller, Centrifugal Fan, Axial Fan, Blower and CPU Cooler.
PSC has been a major supplier to HP Compaq, IBM, ATI, Cisco Systems, Rockwell Automation, APC (American Power Conversion, SGI and other many well-known companies in the world.
Key Features
–HP-force
The new HP-force fans with their extremely high blower capacity of up to 950 m3/h and pressure build-up of up to 1200 pascals are capable of dealing with the extreme heat load. If needed, these fans can produce up to 100% more output under full load and they work with a much broader delivery bandwidth than current models. This makes them ideal for equipment and systems with a high density of components. Thanks to intelligent motor features, they can be individually adapted for any application.
The HP-force series is the most powerful product series on the market. HP-force stands for the highest innovation in motor technology, fluid mechanics and electronics. The one-of-a-kind power density of the products requires special attention to the application at the customer's facility.

Erp 2015
For products with an input capacity between 125 W and 500 kW, the new European Energy-related Products Directive (ErP) to improve energy efficiency will enter into force in 2015 at the latest. Thanks to leading edge PSC EC technology, all PSC fans and motors in these performance classes exceed the ErP Directive even today.
ECAC Technology
When PSC Motor and Fan describes their range of ECAC products, we use the acronym “ECAC,” to refer to an electric motor, fan, blower or impeller that is powered by Electronically Commutated Alternating Current.
This means that the power to the unit comes out of the available power socket; this is 115V AC in the US and 230V AC in Europe and Asia.
Each PSC ECAC Motor is equipped with sophisticated on-board Voltage Conversion Circuitry that converts the 115V AC or 230VAC power input to 90V DC power, and it is this current that actually powers the Motor.
As the motor itself is now actually powered by DC input, we can now incorporate the standard DC Motor functionality that would not be available with a standard AC powered unit.
This functionality includes the following features:
l The biggest benefit is PWM Speed Control or Analog Speed Control. This allows the User to vary the RPM of the motor to whatever speed is needed by his system; with a standard AC motor, it has to run at maximum speed at all times.
l A Tachometer Out Signal is provided, so that the User can monitor the performance of the motor. This signal usually provides 3 Pulses per Revolution.
l An Alarm Signal can also be available which tells the User if the Motor has stopped for some other reason.
The major advantage of ECAC technology, as compared to a straight AC-powered electric motor, is the Power Savings.
As an example, a standard 225mm AC Impeller may consume 160 Watts in power, whereas an equivalent 225mm
ECAC Impeller may consume only 108 Watts in power, thereby using 62 per cent as much power as the AC unit.
ECAC powered electric motors, and by extension the full range of ECAC air moving devices manufactured by PSC Motor and Fan, will see on average a drop in power consumption of at least 30 per cent over an equivalent conventional AC powered unit.
