FSVLF-80 VLF AC Hipot Tester High Voltage Generator for 35kV cable HV Test , mainly used for voltage test of 35kV cables and generators.
Introduction
VLF HV testers are the new generation of AC hipot testers but with an output frequency of 0.1 Hz or lower rather than 50/60Hz. Although the frequency is very low, it is still an alternating current with polarity reversals every half cycle. At 0.1 Hz output, rather than 50Hz, it takes 500 times less current and power to apply an AC voltage to a capacitive load, like a long cable. There is no better way to verify the AC integrity of a cable than to hipot it with AC voltage.
Now very Low Frequency (VLF) testing is internationally accepted as a safe and effective method for testing high voltage facilities. Not only for cable testing, but also spreading rapidly to others where similar benefits are evident, such as transformers, generators and etc.
VLF HV tester are used to provide a go/no-go, or pass/fail, AC voltage withstand test. It can also be used as the voltage source for diagnostic cable testing.
FSVLF series VLF HV testers are microprocessor controlled, have automatic functions for stepping-up, stepping-down, measuring and protecting. They are portable, light weight and small volume. Output waveform is clearly displayed on the large LCD and test report can be printed by built-in thermal printer.

Features
1. Data of current, voltage, waveform are directly sampled at high voltage side, so the data is real and accurate.
2. Overvoltage protection: If output exceeds the set limit of voltage, the instrument will shut-down to protect itself, the actuation time is less than 20ms.
3. Overcurrent protection: it is high-low voltage dual protection in the design, the accurate shut-down protection can be made according to the set value at high voltage side; If the current on low voltage side exceeds the rated current, the instrument will take shut-down protection, the actuation time are both less than 20ms.
4. A high voltage output protective resistor is provided in the voltage boost body in the design and this eliminates the need of additional protective resistor connected outside.
