Currently most of the single-rope hoisting plant applies the wooden tumbling box. The material requirements for the scale board is quite demanding, and the rope race modification is hard, the usage life is very short, which will cause a long time shut down when replacing the scale board. In addition, the rope race of the wooden scale board is easily get worn and cause the rope skip. Those factors all affect the safe function and production of the hoisting plant. The plastic scale board is the best choice, which has been used and tested by around five hundreds of single-rope hoisting plant with the Φ1.2m and Φ6m. The plastic scale board has the following characteristics:
1. Mechanical strength is high, usage life is long. The pressure resistance is 7-10 times higher than the wooden one. The plastic scale board will not be crushed, the rope race wouldn’t wear down and get flat, and the usage life is 5 times longer than the wooden one.
2. The appliance range is wider. Anti- seasoning crack, moisture resistance, especially be suitable for the mine with the hard condition of erosion etc.
3. Specific gravity is light, No water or moisture absorption. The specific gravity is 0.98, it is lighter than the bibulous wooden scale board, which will not increase the plant’s moment of inertia and wattless power
4. Compression molding, the surface of the rope race is smooth. Convenient installation, the wire rope aligned in order, rope skipping will not occur, which extend remarkablly the wire rope’s usage life.
Currently, the plastic scale board is recognized by many users, and is applied by all types of mine, the economic benefits are obvious.
