Co2 Laser Good for Disk Herniation Removals
1. Treatment principle
The CO2 surgical laser system –CL40 are CE and ISO certificate approved. It adopts sealed off CO2 laser which transmits laser through the guiding light joint arm. The output is invisible infraredwhich wavelength is 10600nm, the characteristic are a good direction, and high energy density.
The laser transmitted through focus lens, the high temperature produced by the focus spot can gasify, cutting and cauterization the target organ. If the laser not transmitted through the focus lens, the energy density is low, and it can be used for freeze.If the laser transmitted through beam expander, the instrument can be used in irradiating physical therapy.
2. Construction Performance
2.1 Laser tube(lasers for short)
The laser make of glass tube filled with CO2 air. The back end sticks the whole reflection mirror slice and the front end sticks the exportation window mirror slice which consists of laser cavity resonator. The electrode is installed on the side.
When the electrode of lasers connect with high voltage and electric current, the CO2 gas is motivated so as to produce laser and be sent out from the exportation window of the lasers. There are cooling pipe line, cooling with water inside of its.
2.2 The guiding light joint arm
It consists of even joints and a guiding light tube. There are laser reflector slices in the joints. Laser beam through focus lens outputs in the interval after reflecting for many times. The outlet can be assembled with focused lens, all kinds of operation head- knife and expanding beam lens.
Application of head-knife,
Focus Lens of laser articulated arm F = focal length of 100mm (1F). It
(F=100mm) can be used with cutting head-knife (1F) or ENT head-knife, please make sure the output end is away from the skin around 5mm.
Other head- knife’s length over 100mm (as:1.3 F, 1.6 F, 2 F), far away from the focus, more big spot, the density will be lower, so the heads can be used for solidification surgery.( offering 5pieces headknife,5 of them are for backup).
2.3 Power supply and Control parts
It is combined with switching power supply and computer control parts. Adjusting the current of switching power supply can control the output power of the lasers. Control parts are made up of the Micro-computer control panel, data collect board, Liquid crystal display and touch panel
2.4 Cooling circle system
The large amount of heat will happen when the instrument works. We use the inner circle system to cool off. The pure water is in the tank, which is sent by pump to the laser pipes and reflows to the tank through flow controller.
2.5 Instruction laser (DIODE),
When the status is STA-BY, press the key “ A.BEAM” to select if use the red indicate laser or not when operating. Press the key Continuum to select the output status of instruction laser.
2.6 Instant stop button
Press this button to cut off the power and stop the laser output when the foot switch is out of work or other problems happen. Turn the button clockwise to spring out it so as to restore original position when the problems settled.
2.7Control switch(foot step switch)
The foot step switch of the instrument is a kind of drop– proof type suiting for the common laser clinic. The water- proof foot step switch is suit in the operating room.
2.8 Protecting cooling water from breakdown
If the circle cooling water appears breakdown, the laser tube will be damaged. So the instrument lacks water, or water temperature is over 45 °C, the computer will cut off the power supply and produce the alarm sound automatically.
2.9 safety door link lock
To assure safety on operating, the door must be closed. Then connect the switch with “the door link socket" of the instrument. If the door of the operation room is opened when operating, the instrument will stop transmitting laser.
3. Application
The equipment is featured by reasonable construction, stable performance, and safety, and reliability.
