Cable Connect

The RF cables carry both forward and reserve path signals. The RF cables also supply the 24 to 75 V ac power or 110 to 275V ac power (optional) to operate the amplifier.

Follow these steps to install the RF cables:

  1. 1.  Determine which ports receive an RF cable for your configuration.
  2. 2.  Prepare extension loops on the input and output cables.
  3. 3.  Install the connectors on the cables according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. 4.  Carefully install the coaxial connectors onto the amplifier entry ports. Do not bend the center conductors.
  5. 5.  Connect the cables to the adapters.
  6. 6.  Tighten the cable connector’s seizure screw to ensure contact with connector pin. Do not over-tighten.

 Power Supply

TGM2800C amplifier requires input power of 24 to 75 V ac or 110 to 275V ac. Any RF input and output port can be through power and also have one power inserter port.

NOTE: Do not supply power by two or more than two RF cables at one time.

 

Setup and Operation

Tools and test equipment required for setup are list below:

  1. 1. Digital voltmeter with .001 V dc resolution
  2. 2. Multiple frequency signal generator
  3. 3. Field strength meter
  4. 4. 1GHz Adapter

 

Forward Path Setting

  1. 1. There is a station before the first and second amplify module for inserting a attenuator, select right attenuator to adjust input level. 
  2. 2. There are 20dB test ports at anterior and posterior of amplify module, inspect module by selecting assortative adapter.
  3. 3. The slope should be changed according to demand. Adjusting interstage equalizer can change that. The designed slope is 9 dB.
