Heater silicon carbide sic heating elements have rather large specific resistance. When it is heated in air and the surface temperature of the hot zone reaches 1050°C,it's resistance rate is 600-1400mm2/mm and its resistance value changes as the temperature rises which is negative value from room-temperature to 800 °C and is postive value nature over 800 °C .
The key factor to the optimum service life of the element is to select the surface load of the element correctly according to the furnace construction, atmosphere and temperature. The figure shows the relation between furnace temperatures, element temperature and element surface load under the condition that the element radiation is not obstructed.

3)Heater should be protected againest damp during storing or installing to ensure the performance of the henter.
4)In order to be sure of well-distributed lod of each and groups heater shoud be divided before assembling. The tolerance of the resistance of each one can not exceed by 10% each other.
5)Heater is hard and brittle, please be careful when assem bling and maintaining so as to avoid damage.
6)When operating the electric furnace at the beginning, the voltage should be increased slowly and can not be fully loaded at once. Otherwise the larger current will be resulted in the damage of heater.
7)When heater is damaged and need to be changed , the resistance of new ne should follow the increasing resistance. If many are damaged or resistance increased too much, akk heater should be changed.
