Galvanized high tensile cold drawn wire This is a high quality High Tensile smooth steel vineyard wire with the proper strength and a coating for long lasting trellis applications. This wire has a heavy coating for decades of life. The most popular size is 12.5 gauge (email/call about other sizes). Weight: 2,640'=68 lbs., 1,000'=28 lbs., 500'=14 lbs. The 4,000' coil weighs 100 pounds and the 5,000' coil weights 89 lbs. and they can ship UPS with overweight surcharges or typically 3 or more rolls will ship freight carrier (which we will coordinate with you). A Spinning Jenny is a highly recommended tool for paying out the wire (almost a requirement-However, please note that it will not work with the small 500' coil)! Though many people prefer to use 12.5 gauge on all their lines for convience, we also carry the lighter 14 gauge for use as an irrigation or catch wire (our Vineyard Monofilament wire is also a good choice for this). Note: 500' is the shortest length we offer.
