Product description
Lanthanum Tungsten Electrodes are becoming more popular in international welding area for its unique welding performance. The electric conductivity of Lanthanum Tungsten electrode is more closed to that of 2% thoriated tungsten electrodes. Welders can easily replace thoriated tungsten electrodes with lanthanum tungsten electrodes at either AC or DC and not have to make any welding program changes.
The radioactivity from thoriated tungsten electrodes can thus be avoided. Another advantage of lanthanated tungsten electrodes is being able to be bear high current and having the lowest burn-loss rate.
Applications
1.Tungsten lanthanum alloy rod products are used as electrodes in the Gas Tungsten Arc-Welding (GTAW) also known as Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG)
2.These products are also used for Plasma Cutting.
3.Can be used as a non-radioactive substitute for 2% thoriated tungsten.
