Q: Why is it solid when not using?

A: When activating the heat Hand Warmers, they become soft for a while but once they cool down, they begin to harden. If you want them to be the liquid state, simply boil for the recommended length of time.

A: 1)To activate:

Flex the metal disc inside the pad back and forth to start the reaction. The liquid will be getting crystallize .When the crystallization completed, squeeze the heat pad to make it soft and ready to use. 

2)To boil:

 Place the heat pad in boiling water  for about 5 minutes until all the crystals disappear.
