Description
- Seabuckthorn is a spiny shrub that posesses berries with high nutritional content. Seabuckthorn has been used in traditional Chinese health remedies/treatments and current research is now beginning to understand and support the traditional uses.
- Seabuckthorn has several environmental uses, including preventing and controlling soil erosion and land desertification. There are many therapeutic uses of seabuckthorn berries and leaves.
- Most of the research focuses on the health benefits relating to tumours, circulatory health, natural resistance and defence, liver cirrhosis, stomach digestive disorders and many benefits for the skin.
