Swine influenza caused by specific virus of influenza A virus. Influenza A virus can be divided into various subtypes by different hemagglutinin and antigenicity of neuraminidase. The subtypes of influenza A virus known as H1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2, and H2N3.

Swine influenza virus(SIV) antigen rapid test kit is a rapid immunochromatography assay that detect Swine influenza virus antigen in nose swab. This test kit has high sensitivity to all subtypes of influenza A virus.

After add sample into sample hole(S), monoclone antibodies coated on colloidal gold move along the special membrance of the kit. If there are SIV antigens, they form a complex remove antibodies on T line to develop wine red, otherwise, no color occurs.

Test Procedures

1. Collect acute and untreated nose swab of diseased pigs. Insert the swab into nasal cavity and swab its inner wall rotatably and repeatedly.

2. Insert the swab into the tube with buffer immediately, rotate the swab on the tube wall at less 10 times to disolve them throughly. Squeeze the swab to make the liquid out as much as possible; then, discard the swab.

3. Take out the test cassette. Place the cassette on a level surface, pipette the supernate of the tube and drop 5 drops into Sample Hole(S) slowly and dropwise.

4. Read the results within 10-15 min, more than 15 min, the results are invalid
