Beryllia ceramic is made of beryllium oxide mainly. Pure beryllium oxide (BeO) is cubic. It has very
high thermal conductivity which is almost equal to pure alumina. It also has a good thermal shock
resistance.
Beryllium oxide in high temperature medium containing moisture is volatile and it starts to volatilize at
1000℃.The higher temperature,the more volatilization, which brings difficulties to the
production.Some countries have stopped tot produce. But the product performance is excellent,
although prices is high.There is still a considerable demand.It is widely used in large scale integrated
circuit substrate, high power gas laser tube, fin shell transistor, the microwave output window and a
neutron moderator materials.
