40Cr/AISI 5140 alloy round bar

1. Steel grade: GB 40Cr/AISI 5140/DIN 1.7035/JIS Scr440/ASSAB 2245 

2.  Chemicial composition: C=0.37~0.44, Mn=0.50~0.80, Si=0.17~0.37, Cr=0.80~1.10,

     Ni≤0.030. 

3.  Deliver condition: annealed, hot rolled, black surface; hardness HB≤210.

4.  Specification: diameter 20~800mm, length 2000~10000mm.

5.  Application: used for general machinery parts and shafts. Hardenability of the steel higher than C45, suitable for high-frequency hardening, flame hardening, such as surface hardening treatment.

6.Characteristics:40Cr(5140) steel is belongs to Medium carbon steel with hardening and tempering,cold heading steel.Easy processing,after proper heat treatment can obtain a certain toughness, plasticity and abrasion resistance.
