This TDS meter is a device to measure the amount of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in a solution. TDS is an expression of mobile charged ions (such as minerals, salts, metals, cations and anions) dissolved in particular amount of water.

 

The commonly used unit in TDS is milligrams per liter (mg/L) or parts per million (ppm). For example, 1 mg of solids dissolved in 1 L of water is equivalent to 1 ppm TDS.

 

TDS is directly related to purity and quality of water. TDS meter has a wide range of applications including Aquarium, Hydroponics, Hardness of water, Water Systems, Pools and Spas.
