This special designed formula was developed to help balance children’s microflora and interact positively with their immune defences. Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) chosen for their bifidogenic effect, were added to form an optimal combination of probiotic/prebiotic formulation. The prebiotics should aid survival of the probiotics and facilitate their inoculation into the colon. In addition, it should also induce growth and increase activity of probiotics in the gut.
