BK7/fused silica  Right Angle Prism of Fingerprint sensor/scanner

This finerprint prism mainly used in capturing system and input system of the fingerprint device,

now it is the most widely used prism in fingerprint device,after the led light going through the uniform frosting surface of the prism, it became a kind of uniform light, when one's finger touch the interface of the capturing system, the fingerprint data will enter into the system through the light path, then the capturing work finished,this kind of prism belongs to low-end fingerprint device, which with a bit simple light path, so, the whole capturing system cost is relatively low.

A prism fingerprint sensor is described that uses a holographic grating glued to a right-angled prism. A light source normally illuminates the hypotenuse side of the prism with the finger pressed against the grating. The ridges and valleys of the finger are sensed on the basis of the principle of total internal reflection. The grating is used essentially to correct the distortion usually present with prism sensors. The quality of the fingerprint is very good: the pores on the ridges can be seen.
