PCM-P is composite modifier of thermoplastic material and elastomer. PCM-P modified asphalt might be global innovation of anti-rutting (high modulus) modified asphalt. PCM-P can significantly improve the anti-rutting ability of asphalt mixture and the resilience modulus of mixture. (under same cost, rutting resistance improvement is apparently higher than the SBS modified asphalt; the same improvement, the cost is obviously lower than the anti-rutting dry process additive). Compared with the anti-rutting additive, PCM-P will never sacrifice the crack resistance and anti-fatigue performance of the mixture. PCM-P modified asphalt is commonly used for continuous gradation.

PCM-P have better effectiveness and efficiency high temperature stability improvement based on the same effective polymer compared with anti-rutting additive. If compared with SBS, the advantage is even more remarkable. PCM-P is recommended to be used for heavy-duty traffic pavement, especially the second asphalt mixture layer.
