About the painter:
Tang Yin(1470-1523), was better known by his courtesy name Bo Hu. He was one of the most notable painters in Chinese art history. He was very talented both in poetry and painting, and one of the Four Literary Masters of the Jiangnan Region, including Zhu Yunming, Wen Zhengming and Xu Zhenqing. He was also one of the Four Masters of the Wu school with Shen Zhou, Wen Zhengming and Qiu Ying. His landscape painting always contains hard and fine brushworks, the hard brushwork energetic and delicate, the fine brushwork is his real style, full of poetic sensation. In addition, his human figure paintings are also famous, which are quite lifelike.
