The towable oil-absorbent boom is made of lipophilic, hydraphobic solvent-sprayed polypropylene fibers with light specific weight , it can intercept and absorb oil spill on water and beaches. It can also trail and clean up thinner slick. It is one of the effective means for recovery of thinner slicks. Towable oil-absorbent boom is cylindrical or flake-shaped.
