Low carbon armouring wires are produced to meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS 3863 "Galvanised Mild Steel for Armouring Cables"; BS EN 10244 etc. High carbon armouring wires can be produced to customer requirements on request. 

Tensile Strength (MPa)
The tensile strength is defined as the maximum load achieved in a tensile test divided by the cross sectional area of the wire test piece. The tensile strength range for Armouring Wire is 

340 to 500 MPa.
