For lathe machine, the scales of lathe in X-axis and Y-axis usually need the thin scale and Z-axis need thick scale.
For milling machine, the X,Y,Z-axis, thick is all ok.
Usually for the two machines, 5μm is all ok.

Feature:

Different types:
1). According to the scales and display you need, you should need two sets 2-Axis lathe DRO and one set 3-Axis milling machine DRO.
2).According to the thickness, the common we see are KA300 sereis and KA500 series,KA300 is thicker than KA500.
3). According to the resolution, there are 1μm, 5μm and 0.5μm different.
4) According to our experience:
For lathe machine, the scales of lathe in X-axis and Y-axis usually need the thin scale and Z-axis need thick scale.
For milling machine, the X,Y,Z-axis, thick is all ok.
Usually for the two machines, 5μm is all ok.
