Industrial Standard Fiber 650nm Optical Fiber Pen-type Red Light Source

pen-based red light source, which use 650nm semiconductor laser as a light emitting device, through the constant current drive, transmit the red light which power is stable. After connecting with optical interface, the red light can enter into the multimode and single mode fiber, achieve detecting function of optical fiber fault. It is an indispensable tool for fiber-optic construction, fiber-optic network maintenance, optical device production and research.

Specification:

Application method:

1: unscrew the battery pipe from the pen body, put the prepared two AA batteries into the battery tube, battery anode towards the bottom of the battery tube, cathode towards the negative pole seat of pen body; (strictly prohibit to reverse)

2: connect the battery tube with pen body, open the dust cap, press the switch, the optical interface will have red light emitted, indicating light at the same time; (strictly prohibit to aim optical interface at eye for fear that damage eyes)

3: Press the switch again, bright dipping change into the pulse mode, indication light shines with the emitted light synchronized (pulse frequency is in the 0.5-2Hz)

4: Press the switch again, the power turns off, no light output, indication light turns off at the same time (switch mode: continuous – pulse – closed cycling mode)

5: Insert the tested fiber into optical interface when detecting, press the control switch at the same time, select the operating mode; (continuous or pulse)

6: After using, cover the dust cap to avoid dust. If not use for a long time, remove the battery for fear that battery decays and damage light source.

Maintenance and Precautions:

*: Laser is harmful to eye, we need to protect our eyes and avoid that laser to aimat eye directly.

*:  High temperature can shorten the life the laser, avoid prolonged use in high temperature working environment.

*:  Use cotton ball with alcohol to clean core porcelain face of optical interface before using.

*:The user who is batch-testing, please try to use wire jumper and flange connecting way to test. This can extend laser using life. (This product

is not suitable for industrial testing, please buy the company’s other testing equipment)

*:  Cover dust cap to avoid dust when not use.                                                                                                  

*:  Please remove the battery when not use for a long time.

*:  This product can match adapter from 2.5mm shifting 1.25mm to test the LC wire jumper.
