Friend baths for low temperature kinematic viscosity conform to ASTM D445 andD2532 and related test method requirements for viscosity bath temperature stability and uniformity in the temperature range of from +20° to -60°C. A digital indicating PID temperature controller with 0. 1°C resolution provides stability and uniformity of better than ±0.05°C as specified by ASTM D445 (when methyl alcohol or denatured ethyl alcohol are used as bath medium).
