Q:Does an Air Source Heat Pump make a lot of noise?
A:An Air Source Heat Pump will make some noise when they are operating, as a compressor and fan are in motion, however this noise can be far less than you may think. One of the most commonly installed Air Source Heat Pumps by Ecovision, the Mitsuibishi Ecodan, won the Quiet Mark certification in 2014, the only Heat Pump of its kind to do so, due to the minimal noise output. Before an Air Source Heat Pump can be installed they must also pass a noise assessment, ensuring you will never hear the Heat Pump from inside your property. Furthermore, with a decibel rating similar to, or less than, that of a conventional boiler, your neighbours may not even know it’s there.
