• · How do I get a quote?

At Tuowei Prototype, getting a quote is fast, friendly, and easy.  Anyone of our English speaking International Sales Representatives or Project Managers will be more than happy to assist you.  Just send us your design and engineering production specifications, PDF, CMF, and 3D data in file formats: (.iges or .step for CNC Machining) & (.stl for 3D Printing), and we will provide you with a quote for designing ideas, prototyping models, or mass production.

• · How long does it take to get a quote?

We can typically provide quotes as quickly as in1 or 2 hours, however depending on the complexity of production & scope of subcontracting, quotes can sometimes require up to 1 or 2 days to accurately assess.

• · Is there a cost for quotations?

No. We provide quotations at no cost to clients.

• · Is there a cost for consultations?

No. We provide consultations at no cost to clients.

• · Can I purchase services using a P.O.?

Yes. We do accept official Purchase Orders.  In order to best serve our clients in reducing production times, we typically send an invoice. 

• · What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are as follows:  

1.  Bank confirmation of receipt of advanced payment for 50% of the cost of the project is required before production begins.
2. Bank confirmation of receipt of the remaining balance is required before shipment of the products.
3. . Clients are liable for all shipping costs incurred.

•  · Do you sign NDAs?

Yes.  Tuowei Prototype considers client confidentiality and project confidentiality top priority.  We provide our official Tuowei Prototype Non-Disclosure Agreement forms for clients to sign and/or we can sign NDAs provided and sent to us from clients.

• · What are your production & finishing options?

As a 3 in one company specializing in model making and mass production, Tuowei empowers clients with many options and solutions in all phases of product development from Designing, to Prototyping and Tooling.  We offer Industrial Design and Structural Design services.  We offer Production processes such as 3D Printing (OBJET, SLA, SLS, FDM), 3 Axis and Multi Axis CNC Machining, Spark Erosion Machining, Plastic Injection Molding, Reaction Injection Molding, RTV Vacuum Casting & Pressure Casting.  We offer Post Production Finishing processes such as Polishing & Painting, Powder Coating & Chrome Plating, Anodizing & Laser Etching, and more.

• · What are your material selections?

Tuowei offers a vast diverse selection of materials as opaque, translucent and transparent extruded sheets and liquid resins.  Your choice of engineering plastics includes: ABS, PA, PC, PET, HDPE, HDPP, PMMA, POM, and more.  Your choice of engineering alloys includes: Aluminum, Magnesium, Zinc, Stainless Steel, and more.  We also offer specialty model making materials such as HD Polyurethane Modeling Boards (Renshape, SikaBlock, & Raku Tool).

• · What tolerances can your processes achieve?

Tuowei can achieve ±0.05 tolerance for most production processes including: 3D Printing, (OBJET, SLA, SLS, FDM),  3 Axis CNC Machining, Spark Erosion Machining, Plastic Injection Molding, Reaction Injection Molding, and Vacuum Casting & Pressure Casting.

• · Can I count on extensive product development support?

Yes.  Our International Sales and Project Management teams are available to provide continual communication and ongoing assistance.  

• · Can I speak to one of your Engineers or Designers?

Yes.  Our teams of designers & engineers, programmers & technicians are available to provide technical support.  Our CIO / CTO from the US, is a Product Development Specialist that is available to answer designing, prototyping, and tooling questions.

• · When can I expect delivery?

Clients can typically expect to have your project in hand within 2 to 3 days after production is complete.  Depending on the size, weight, and destination of the shipment, there may be possible delays in customs.  This rarely occurs but when it does it can take up to 5 days.
