Our shutters are custom made from the highest quality basswood lumber.  Because basswood is one of the lightest in weight of all hardwoods, it is the superior choice for shutter construction.  Basswood is also known for its resistance to sagging, warping and bowing.  Basswood contains no sap to bleed through the finish so it is the best choice for a beautiful finish.
