Made of 7/8" diameter 1040 heat treated steel for strength, and coated with chromate zinc for weather protection, these hooks are available in 8" sports car style and 15" standard - both have a 5" inside diameter. The heavy duty hooks add 20 % more strength. Forged tow hooks offer unique geometric advantages that dramatically increase strength. Combined with a higher grade of steel, the forged hook is the light weight answer to heavy duty towing and recovery applications.
