Gas Pressed Silicon Nitride Si3N4 Ceramic
Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) is a widely used ceramic material in high temperature application, it has high strength in both room temperature and high temperature condition, the strength of silicon nitride can be kept up to 1200℃; the low coefficient of thermal expansion make it a ceramic material possessing excellent thermal shock resistance; at the same time, it also has good thermal conductivity.
Except for the excellent properties in thermal application, silicon nitride also has good mechanical, chemical, electrical properties. It has good strength, good flexture strength and wear resistance;it is a good performance electrical insulation ceramic material; it is corrosive against all inorganic acid, most of organic acid solutions and some of caustic soda solutions.

Advanced ceramics - also referred to as engineering, structural or technical ceramics - have been processed to be very pure and, in general, have superior properties to unrefined ceramics. Many are man-made, i.e. they do not occur naturally, e.g. silicon nitride, and their properties can be enhanced to produce very high strength at high temperatures, good corrosion resistance, etc. >>> Q: What types of ceramic do you supply? Alumina in purity from 90% to 99.7%, yttria stabilized zirconia (Y-PSZ), hot pressed boron nitride, machinable glass ceramic, boron carbide, silicon nitride, mullite and cordierite. >>> Q: Can I machine the ceramics myself? The harder ceramics like alumna and zirconia will require diamond tooling but other materials like Machinable Glass Ceramic and Hot Pressed Boron Nitride can be machined. To get the right result it does take time, experience and semi-specialised tooling but it can be done and many of our customers take advantage of this when they need extremely fast solutions in-house. >>> Q: Do you ship internationally? Yes, we can ship to virtually anywhere in the world. Typically we will use international express, like DHL, UPS, TNT, FEDEX, EMS...
