Testing & Maintenance
a.) Little or no vibrations
b.) No corrosive gases
c.) Minimal temperature fluctuation and near normal room temperature (25 C)
d.) No direct subject to Radiant heat
e.) Not in strong electromagnetic field
f.) No excessive humidity
a.) Proper terminals are selected
b.) Appropriate parameter is selected. e.g. mV, mA Ohm, Temp.
c.) Select source or Sink Mode as per requirement
d.) In case of RTD, first read the parameter and then feed to the instrument under calibration.
e.) Whenever calibrator not in use, switch of the supply to enhance battery life.
f.) In case calibrator will not be used for longer duration, remove/disconnect batteries.
Testing Procedure
This procedure is required to confirm proper working of calibrator to avoid ambiguity.
Adjust: Select Switch to mV.
Mode Switch to Source.
Adjust reading 100.00 on DPM with the help of Coarse and Fine potentioner.
Confirm the output with standard traceable multimeter at mV terminals.
This must be within specified accuracy of ±0.1
