Prefinished kempas Solid wood Flooring

  

Kempas generally produces in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.This kind of wood is very heavy and hard with high strengh, so Kempas is an excellent material for making floor.. The heartwood is a fairly consistent color which ranges from orange-red to reddish-brown with subtly contrasting yellow to pale white tones. The heartwood will darken with time. Kempas is somewhat similar to Cumaru from Brazil but does not have as much definition in the grain. Kempas has been very popular as a less expensive alternative tropical hardwood. Available in prefinished solid only in two widths.

Kempas Solid Wood Flooring Specifications:

 

Edges and Side: 

Yorking Hardwood mill the solid kempas wood with four side Tongue & Groove Joint,board to board fit perfectly to each other,very easy to installation.Each board is with slightly 45°Micro-beveled Edge,which makes the flooring looks elegant.

Moisture Content: 

Normally the kempas raw wood is properply dried under a MC of 12% in order to produce a qualfied timber floor.Our  factory present a report as a proof that each batch of our solid kempas timber floor keeps with moisture content in the range of 10%-12%.

Coating of Kempas flooring: 

Solid kempas flooring from Yorking is sealed by primer UV finish on six sides on floor board , it enhances the dampness resistance to garantee the board stability after long time use. Solid kempas wood flooring surface coating is applied by 8 layers primer finish,4 layers top finish.The top finish we use germany treffert aluminium oxide UV coating which greatly enhanced the scratch resistance of the timber flooring.
