NATURAL LIQUID RUBBER LATEX 60% drc low ammonia odor
ULACOL is natural rubber latex with an ultra low ammonia content developed by our company, which has only a very slight ammonia odor.
Conventional commercial products of natural rubber latex include “HANR latex” and “LANR latex” with ammonia concentrations of 0.7% and 0.25%, respectively. They have been used mainly for manufacturing rubber gloves, rubber balloons, condoms, foam rubbers and other products at rubber factories.
Recent growing concerns over VOC and environmental problems have brought growing demands for a shift from organic solvent-based adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives and paints to their water-based counterparts.
Also, recent high ratings for natural rubber as biomass material and progress in natural rubber modification technology have been encouraging studies to explore heretofore inconceivable new applications of natural rubber, such as adhesives for building materials and adhesives or coating agents for paper and textile.
However, when considered in such studies, natural rubber latex was often rejected for its pungent odor at the very beginning.
ULACOL is natural rubber latex with an excellent stability and a very slight ammonia odor, which was developed by combining a reduced ammonia concentration of about 0.1% with the use of a low-toxicity preservative.
