The RH2288A V2 provides two sockets for Intel® Xeon® E5-2600/E5-2600V2 processors, each of which has as many as eight cores and two 8 GT/s QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) links between processors. Storage options include 2.5- or 3.5-inch SAS/SATA hard disk drives and PCIe SSD cards.

Onboard Intel I350 dual-port GE card supports Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV).

A data recorder helps locate any faults that cause a server crash.

A built-in iBMC module supports Serial over LAN (SoL) as well as remote KVM, startup, and shutdown.

Storage options include eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs; twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs and two 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs; or twenty-six 2.5-inch SAS/SATA HDDs or SSDs. Hard disks are hot-swappable.
